Darel was a retired, successful businessman, having lived in many states these last few years. He loved to travel and will be remembered for his easy going personality and love of life and family. While he and Michele (Prentice) graduated together, they did not know one another until they met on a blind date in 1968. They had a whirlwind courtship and married that same year. She survives him.
