December 14th is John's birthday and it's going to be hard as I know I can't just pick up the phone and sing Happy Birthday to him. John and I were close. After our mother died in 1997 - John attempted suicide. He was having a hard time handling our mother's death. I received a call from him around 5:00am asking me to help him. He wanted to go into rehab. John had an addiction to drugs but I did get him the help and he recovered. His death makes me angry and sad because the reality is- the drugs took a toll on his body. He got baptized in a beautiful church out in the Porter Ranch area. He was so proud and I was proud of him. We all were! Tomorrow will be bittersweet. I dearly miss my brother.
