Because of our lst names, Doug often sat behind me in classes, so we became friends. He was a quirky guy who had a heart of gold. He once gave me a sterling silver basketball for my bracelet ~ I think of him everytime I wear it, which is often. I am so sorry he passed so young. He was a good one!
Doug was one of the best friends I had in high school. My mom called him "Feet" because his were so big. In our senior year he walked into Mr. Kopecky"s German class in the middle of the class. Mr. Kopecky asked him if he could help him and he said "no I'm here to see her" as he walked over to me and handed me a 6 page note he had written to me. He was a very deep & funny guy. You are greatly missed Doug.
