I am so sad to hear this.... I went thru grade school (Victor) with Ellis and I have such fond memories of him. When we were in 4th grade, Ellis taught me all about Hanukkah and I wrote a paper about it and got an "A". I know it may seem silly, but I was very proud of myself and have always remembered that.
R.I.P. Ellis..... Heaven is definitely a better place with you there!
Ellie lived on my street and I remember him and his family growing up; and his sister Sherri(?). I am so sorry to hear this, I think of the Milstein family every time I walk down Konya Drive where my parents still live. I went to his bar mitzva, the first one I ever attended.
Ellis and I became best friends after graduation while attending El Camino. We both attended USC. I was in his wedding - my first Jewish wedding! We stayed in touch until I moved to Dallas in 1989. Didn't know of his passing until about 2 years ago - was shocked.
Ellis grew up together and he lived across the street from me. You were always a quiet guy, very sweet, and super studious. I admired your brilliance. I remember going to your birthday party when you were about 9, I think it was an Indian theme. You always shared the ice cream bars your parents bought the were in the garage fridge. Great memories! We also celebrated July 4th as a block party and your generous parents bought enough fireworks for the whole block. I am so happy that you graduated college and went on to marry the love of your life. Rest in peace my dear friend and God bless your family.
