Dear Miss Holmquist. Just wanted to say that I will never forget you. You left us too soon. But I will always remember a special quality that you had. You could recognize the shy students.. and you made extra efforts with them. I will always remember you, sitting on the lawn with me.. talking.. while I worked on my class project. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Miss Holmquist.
I will always remember Ms. Holmquist for her tender smile. Once during her food prep class, I set off a fire cracker that really shocked her. I always felt badly about it because it drove her to tears. Now I can only say how sorry I am for doing that (she did not know who did it at the time) and I'll give you a big hug in heaven. I hope the statute of limitations applies here ! If not, I made this up.....

Miss holmquist was an amazing person and a great home ec. teacher. It was so tragic her life had to end so early. RIP
