My sister Sandy passed away on March 26, 1977 in a single car roll over crash. Growing up with Sandy was a difficult situation for me as she excelled in school, made friends easily, was popular and our parents adored her. I on the other hand suffered from undiagnosed A.D.H.D. (until 2010) did terrible in school and was not liked there. However after she went to college, she and I were able to work out our differences and became very close, and then she died in the car accident. I think of her often and fortunately for me as an amateur film maker beginning in 1973 at age 13, I have one single movie shot just 3 months before she died in December 1976 that I still watch often and remember...
When Sandy died it was a life changin event for my sisiter and I. We twirled with her on our baton team. We had a hard time understanding what God's plan was in all that, as she was engaged and all, but one thing it taiught us was how life is so fragile and live in the present moment and enjoy the ride!
