I knew Mike well. He died as a result of a minor motorcycle accident which created a blood clot that eventually, weeks after the event, entered his brain causing immediate and sudden death. I had the bad taste to ride my motorcycle in the motorcade from the funeral home to Green Hills. I've often thought of him and where he might be today if that acciden't hadn't happened.
We all were way too young, especially Mike. All is forgiven, yes with regrets, but we wouldn't be who we are today without these experiences. We thought we were invincible, yet discovered instead, we are fragile. God bless you all who read this and remember our best friend Mike.
Mike was a great friend. We ran track together our senior year. And, although we weren't considered the stellar talent, we had a good time anyway. I was shocked to learn of his passing while serving in the U.S. Navy. R.I.P. my friend!
